Hi Katy, thanks for your reply. Good luck on getting your BFP!! Hopefully the clomid works for you!

My periods are very irregular, I've had 2 this year the last one was 20 weeks ago.

Thanks for your good luck wishes xx

Not that I am suggesting you are a dummy....

Oh I'll have to have a look for that, thanks (again) DragonMummy!

Don't worry, I've been called much worse than a dummy

Hi bird2be, sorry to hear of your diagnosis, it's horrible isn't it.

We've been trying for 11 months now with no luck and my last period was 20 weeks ago, all the way back in July

I feel like it's never going to come but I guess only time will tell..

Hopefully your appointment comes around quickly, good luck xx

How do you know that youīre not ovulating? Is it because you chart your body temperature, thatīs why you found out?

I was diagnosed with PCOS because of the ratio of some hormones in my body. My ovaries look fine, according to my doc who saw them on the ultrasound. So I really donīt know if there are different types of PCOS.

And I heard that metformin doesnīt work for every case of PCOS. Is that true?

yeah that's true cheerios but I would imagine that as yours is more a chemical imbalance than a physical ovary deformity it's more likely to work than not in your case but it does take a while.

I started on Met beginning of November having not ovulated since coming off bcp in May. I am now 3dpo!

If anyone needs more info on the early diagnosis of PCOS, I have a diary in teh TTC journal section (called Increasing our Herd of Dragons) check it out, it might help. xxx

I too have PCOS and I am on metformin + clomid and i have ovulated for about 3 months straight now. I have a regular 34 day cycle. I started ovulating the very next month after starting metformin. I hate taking it but I will until I get my BFP. My AF is due next monday but I am hoping to miss it, in hopes for better news. PCOS is not the end but the beginning because now you know what to do, to make your situation better. Instead of trying and going no where! Good luck and be blessed!
