Ttc with ibs

I was wondering if anyone knows if early pg symptoms could affect ibs, I got a bfn this morning but after a good cry I have decided to try and stay positive af isn't here yet so I'm not out, anyway I have ibs and it's not usually too bad, I can handle it and I only usually get a really bad attack every few months or so but I've had three in the past two weeks, one today... Am I imagining things again?

Wish i could advise hun but i'm going thru a bit of a bad attack myself at the moment....to be a bit graphic i normally "suffer" with going 2- 3 times a day but when i get an attack i get constipated for a couple of days and haven't been like that in a good while except i;ve been suffering for 3 days now...someone mentioned that constipation is an early pg symptom. I tested myself today and got a BFN. I have to say tho when i'm due on i usually go to the toilet loads with no problems so this is a bit different for me personally. I'm cd29 today so gonna wait for about a wk before testing again if AF doesn't show. Don't know if that helps you anyway hun. How does your ibs affect you?

I tend to have at least two loose stools a day, but a bad attack means I get terrible cramps, so bad I feel faint, and have fainted, then I tend to get terrible diarhoea that (sorry tmi coming) runs for at least an hour, during a bad attack that happens anything upto five times in a day.

Not bad considering before the ibs two hard poos a week was normal.

Sorry for tmi

Ohhh, I'm 9 dpo & I haven't suffered with my IBS for over a year & yet the last 3 days I've been in agony with it, for the last 2 days I've been passing only blood filled mucous but yesterday it was every half hour, it's calmed down a lot today. I've also had really bad heartburn for past few days which is getting increasingly worse... I'm too scared to test yet as I tested & tested for the last 2 cycles lol. I do just feel different this month though, I don't "feel" pregnant, just dont feel like I usually do in the week leading upto AF.

I have severe Crohn's disease which is similar to IBS but much MUCH worse and very often people think they have bad IBS (like I did and suffered for 5yrs!)

Anyway I have had 2 children, then had emergency major bowel surgery in Aug, got pg 2wks later..sadly m/c and am now pg again.

There is no reason (and my GI consultant agrees) why it would stop you conceiving. I am usually much better when pg!

Good luck for the future.
x
