dont you hate it when people bring their babies into work

AF arrived today despite no cramping which i am annoyed about as i got my hopes up!

What makes matters worse some single mum brought her (unplanned) baby into work today - i hate it when people do that! it seems so unfair!!

feeling like crap today - wonder when the docs will let us do fertility tests???? its been 5 months

i know its hard hun but keep your hopes up, it took over 6 months to get pregnant with Ewan, and then 3 yrs to get pregnant with Robyn, i was never offered any infertility tests with either, appart from a routine blood test when i was having very irregular peroids. Some of my friends were having the 2nd and third babies by the time Robyn was confirmed.

I did ask our doctors and they wouldnt even consider doing any tests on me even after 18 months of trying, i had to push for the blood test after 2.5 yrs and luckily it did show that i had very high prolactin levels, so i was eventually treated.

Mmmm, if you reeaallly wanted to, you could go to a different doctor and slightly exaggerate the time you've been trying for... whistle...whistle...

Sorry you're feeling crappy.

5 months isn't a long time and it is normal for ttc to take up to a year so use that to say positive. I know it is frustrating though, I'm on my 7th month and feel frustrated and disappointed each month.

If they started doing tests on people who have been trying for 5 months then it would make it longer for people who have been trying for a long time to get help as the doctors, clinics labs etc would be more busy.

good luck, hope you get your BFP soon.

I agree, 5 months isn't long at all, I doubt that any doctor would offer tests at the moment. Most will only consider it after 18 months some won't even offer it then. I know each moneth is a killer, 3 yrs was bad enough for me with No.2 but i know there are people who have been waiting even longer than that.

Awww..I know 5 months probably seems like an eternity. But in the larger scheme it is not that long. I would keep trying a little while longer. I went to a specialist at 12 months and was so hopeful they could help. However it has been more disappointing than I thought. Some of the tests were painful and they didn't find anything wrong. The meds put my body in such havoc that I have not even been allowed to TTC for the past 2 months. I am now on birth control pills to shrink a large cyst caused by the meds. Unless you have reason to believe something might be wrong, keep it up. Fingers crossed for you. I hope you get your BFP soon!!
