| 21 day progesterone test results and smear test question Hi,
I got my results back for my progesterone test I had done yesterday (super quick, i'm very impressed). Anyway it was 33.6 which I assume is adequate from what I read. Still waiting to have the day 2 test done so guess will have to see what that says before I get too excited!
I also wanted to ask any ladies who have had a smear test this last year, have you had any discomfort since? Its a new swab since I last had one (i'm a student nurse so have seen many in action) and I don't know if its that thats bothering me because I now know what they do to you or if I'm really feeling discomfort.. its not pain just i'm aware of my cervix if you know what i mean?

| 33.6 sounds great! anything above 30 means you are ovulating so thats a mega bonus! i just had day 2 bloods taken after last months day 21 being a crappy 3! so waiting for day 21 to come around again for another repeat test! then who knows what will happen! just another month of a waiting game! so stress and really down just need a positive as my dream of a just seems so far away right now! to you! | | | | Status: Offline

| I hope your day 21 is better this month! I've read so much contradicting things on here about the 21 day test. I ov cd17/18 and have 28 - 32 day cycle so was only 3-4 days post ovulation I had the test done. Some people say the test needs to be 7 day post ov I have read but my Dr and some other sites on the net say its ok so long as your period comes 6 - 8 days after the test. It really is split 50/50 in opinions so don't know what to think??? Hopefully my 33.6 reading is not way off because its really read the other way?
How long have you been having investigations? Its all so long drawn out isn't it?

| yeah everything seems to be taking ages! been ttc for just over a year now, went to the doc orginally after bout 9 months for advice just to check there wasnt anything i could do to increase chances-at this point saw a male gp who said he'd leave us trying for up to 2 years as i'm 'young' i'm 24! the thought of this distroyed me, anyhow had a rwally heavy painful period in sept/oct ???? early mis carriage( but never had a +ve) and saw a female doc who i explain the whole situation too who referred me for my orginal day 21 test! so she sort of got the ball rolling so this is 2nd month of blood test but the doc said OH will need to do a sperm analysis and me a chalmydia test(even though had one two years ago-sincde have had probs with periods since i was about 15!) then if blood test all come back low still will gte referred to fertility clinic! but obviously this is gonna take a least a few months! just so frustrating and starting to wear on me a little seems so far away and so far out of reach! how bout you! this your first month of investigations??? anyway to all let hope we get long awaited over christmas time | | | | Status: Offline

| we had 15 months TTC, not all together as we had a break to get married, I went for smear and just mentioned to Dr who said she'd get ball rolling and she too would want to know why we hadn't concieved yet after all those cyles. We already have a 3 1/2 year old son who came as a surprise so assumed would be easy 2nd time around... how very wrong i was! We still need to go Dr together for all history stuff and semen test (hubby trying to put this one off).
I think I do ov, but its usually cd18 so only 10 day luteal phase. taking vit b6 to try make it longer but this first month of that.
Sounds like your at least been taken seriously now thats good! damn shame its takes so long to speak to the 'experts' tho isn't it? I sometimes wish I could just take everything going to help, clomid the lot Are you taking any vits or herbs or anything? to you too, fingers crossed we on the BFP list soon!

| keeping fingers and toes crossed for us both! no taking the usual folic acid and started taking general well woman vits as have read then they help to regulate cycles etc, but nothing else really know what you mean bout going straight in for the real stuff just to speed the process up! just finding it all really hard!! especially as both my siblings and OH siblings seem to be extra fertile! OH brothers girlfriend got after two months of trying! am very happy for them but just makes it more frustrating! espescially when all we keep getting is 'when you two gonna have a baba then??' ( we've kept it all fairly quite as dont want the added pressure from families!) hopefully this months blood test get everything underway! and get the soon! would be a amazing crimbo present! to you! you having repeat bloods taken this month? deez x x x | | | | Status: Offline

| I just rang for results so wont' know if need repeating until we go see Dr as a couple, prob and my cd 2 test tho I really really hope I don't need to go! We told people we were TTC at the start then when people were asking all the time I said we weren't anymore, this time after the wedding we've kept it totally secret. 2 of my best friends just got pg with their 2nd, they all too seem to fall pg like falling off a curb. my sister in law about to give birth to her 5th baby in years. No wonder it makes us jealous and upset!!!!!
Have you thought about trying Agnus castus to regulate your cycles? Loads of people swear by it! I tried it for about a week then got scared because read a few bad reports too so stopped it. Think I'll stick to my vit b6!
Would love to have to find excuses not to drink at christmas, you never know we may get our wish yet! when is your af due? i'm due 3rd dec so next time would be new year! a new year BFP would be awesome too!

| AF due around boxing day as cycles have been from around 32-49 days but prob wont be testing over christmas! might just wait see what the new yaer brings!! but we will see im not very good at waiting, havent tried agnus catus as have also heard some conterversal things bout it! will see what day 21 bloods say! if level is high then might test a bit earlier bout same as you would love not to be drinking this new year! x x x i wish it was easy as falling of the curb to fall preggers! but know what you mean it is unfair how some get the so easily! if only! well be keeping everything crossed for both of us! lets hope the 3rd brings you an early chritsmas present!

| Did your doctor say it was too high? I had mine done a couple of cycles ago and it was 24 at 10dpo, anything above 20 is classed as fine and means you have O'd, which I already knew that I did, the normal range is 20-110 so yours still falls within a perfectly acceptable range. | | | | Status: Online
