confustion over progesterone levels - units needed!

no dont think it can get too high! (well not sure what it means if it gets too high 110+) i think the higher the better, a it means you are producing an egg! so things all sound like they happening in the right direction! keeping my fingers crossed for you! x x

One thing that is not widely distributed online is that there are two scales of measuring progesterone: ng/ml and nmol/L... It's like saying that 1lb of sugar is the same as 450g, which is confusing a lot of people online as they're not told what scale their results were given in !

If ovulation has occurred, average progesterone levels at 7dpo even when NOT pregnant is:
for ng/ml: around 12-20.
for nmol/L: around 30-60.

(Wiki has a good chart showing this called 'progesterone during menstrual cycle')

In a normal non-pregnant cycle progesterone levels typically reduce back down to nothing from c.8dpo.
If pregnant, however, progesterone levels should raise even more after implantation (at c.7-10dpo).

Day 22 progesterone tests are useful to know if you ovulated or not, however progesterone needs to be tested after day 22 for a better idea of whether you're pregnant or not, by which time you may as well get an HcG test.
