My OB suggested I start taking a one baby aspirin daily after two early mc's in a row. I have had two more since, and am working with a specialist now. . . still taking my daily dose.

I took baby aspirin all last cycle and I think it screwed up my ovulation. My body kept trying but I don't think I ever ovulated. My coworker was also taking it and it caused her follicle to fill with blood after it ruptured at Ovulation (preventing a corpus luteum from forming), which is apparently why she started spotting at 7 DPO, according to her reproductive endocrinologist anyway.

I looked it up and I see it can be linked to ovulation inhibition (see http://www.bioline.org.br/pdf?mf07008)
I've stopped taking it for now and will start it again after I know I've ovulated.
It's so frustrating! I tried taking it to allow myself to have a successful pregnancy and then it might be actually hurting fertility! Blech

Well I just heard back from Dr and he says I should take the baby aspirin daily. YEAH something positive! I sure hope it makes the difference I'm wanting it to! He said it can't hurt and can only help.

So ladies I guess I got my answer thank you for all your replies!

Hello everyone,
I was doing some research on APS or Thrombophilia which is what my Dr. said I have, and ended up joining this site and I am so glad I did; knowing that I am not alone is wonderful.
My story is very similar to yours: married for 3 years now, trying to conceive since my honeymoon!! and no babies yet. Got pregnant in February 2008, I saw my baby's heart beat for the first time at 6 weeks and sadly, 3 weeks later, on my second prenatal visit, Dr found no HB and baby had die at 7 weeks, although I was on my 9th week of pregnancy, the fetus had been dead in my belly for over two weeks. I was having a missed miscarriage (miscarriage never occurred and had to have D&C). Miscarriages are not unusual so we kept trying, seven months later my hubby and I were thrilled to know we were expecting again!!..only to find almost three months later that the story was to be repeated. I had my second D&C (this time I had to be rushed to ER because I chose to pass it naturally thinking would be like heavy period but was actually like labor pain and I passed out at work) at almost 12 weeks of pregnancy but 9 weeks size of the fetus.
So after having two pregnancy losses in a row I decided to take action. I asked my dr. to refer me to a specialist. Me and my husband underwent different tests and they diagnosed me with Anti Phospholipid Syndrome (APS) which is when the blood tends to form clots that block the pass of blood into the baby and in consequence it dies. This Dr. said I should take baby aspirin before I get pregnant and once pregnant I should have shots of heparin and continue with the baby aspirin.
I have never been on any contraceptive method, never, and I am always regular on my periods. It seems to me that I just can't get pregnant. I have been trying after my last miscarriage ( Nov. 2008) and even before I got pregnant for the first time, it took us one year to conceive. I don't know whether my condition lowers the chances of getting pregnant. My dr. suggested to use the ovulation kit. I feel very anxious and afraid of going through another miscarriage again.
I have not seen my dr. because I wanted to try on my own getting pregnant but it is just not happening. I saw him last in May. I would like to know if you have any information about whether APS can prevent you from getting pregnant!! and thanks for sharing your stories, it really encourages me (although always a bit scared)
