Vitamin B6 for Ov??? Ever used it b4?

Hello girls,

i recently started healthy doses of Vitamin B6 and a B-Complex, along with my prenatal daily. The reason i started it is because my LP is only 10 days (some doctors would say that's a problem, others think its minimual, but okay). I also miscarried at 8 weeks in October. Therefore, i am trying to lengthen my LP by a day or so (a 12 day LP would be awesome! )

I was wondering, have you ever taken B6, B12, etc. to lengthen your LP? If so, what was your outcome with it, your results? Did you Ov a couple days earlier? Did you Ov the same CD as usual but have a longer LP? And when did it start kicking in (i.e. 1st cycle, 2nd cycle, etc.)? Thanks girls! im just hoping that its working. It seems that my temps are already slightly higher (closer to what the norm is ) but i dont know if that has to do with B Vitamins or not.

Thanks!

I saw a slight difference in how much spotting I had during my LP when I started taking B6. Not sure whether it was the B6 or the other stuff that my naturopath had me doing, but it all helps, I suppose.

Sorry I can't be much more help than that. I hope you lengthen your LP like you want! Good luck!

Thanks Jessa!
Did you spot MORE when you started with B6 or did you have spotting before taking it, then the spotting was LESS once you started B6?

Most ladies that I have seen use B6 to lengthen LP ovulate at about the same time, but have a longer LP. I've seen it increase 3 or more days.

Becareful that you aren't overdoing the B6 with both B6 and B complex, though.

Good luck!!

Yep agree with what Tigerlady has said and yes becareful about taking too much B6 it can get toxic, check you dont have it in your pre-natal as well anything over 100mg per day is considered too much.

yeah, im not anywhere near 100mg. Its about 56mg TOTAL for a day. The prenatal has next to nothing in it when it comes to B Vitamins.
