OPK (test timing and results)

Hi,

First time posting... So my husband and i have been trying to get preggo for a about 4 months now, following miscarriage. The first time, we weren't even trying so i thought it wouldn't be that hard to get preggo the second time. Boy, was I wrong! After the MC, my cycle has gone from a perfect 29 days to 27-31 days... Anyway, i am just worried that somehow i am not ovulating, so i decided to try OPKs. I bought two different ones.

I am testing at 11am everyday with both (2nd pee of the day). I have read online that i should be testing at 2-4pm everyday. I am scared i might miss my surge cause i am testing at 11am... So, ladies, from your experience when is the best time to test? Which one gave you good results?

I do seem to get better results with the am pee, but I test both am and pm as you can surge inbetween, eg if you opk in the morning and neg you might start surging in the pm and stop again by the next time you pee in the am and miss the surge. Hope that doesnt confuse you! Soon as my opks start not to look negative, start to go darker in colour, I know O is on its way and get to business, keep using them till the surge goes and then have sex for at least three days after the +opk. Sometimes you will not get a strong positive, you just have to know whats a + for you at the time as other things can influence the strength of the lh hormone. Hopefully that isnt information overload, let me know if you didnt understand my ramblings!

Thanks a lot! That makes sense. I think tomorrow which is about 13 day, i may try and test twice a day.. As most of us, i get way too paranoid and stress isn't suppose to help my situation

I got a smiley face today and i was screaming!! Had to call the hubby to come home as soon as he could

I know this isn't a guarantee, but it still caused me to scream so loud my head hurt.
