I'm Currently Feeling: | to all girls that chart... have any of you had a sore throat before when charting? what did it do to your temps? I had a sore throat on cd13-15 of my chart. If i use the FAM ovulation detector on FF it changes my ovulation to cd13 from cd26!! BUT cd13 is when i started with a sore throat, even though i felt my worse on cd15 when my temp dropped. On the advanced detector mode he leaves my ovulation at cd26. Any ideas? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Lew! I was ill w/ sore throat, flu-like stuff from cd 2 thru 9, but at my worst from cd 3 thru 5... I'm SURE it put my temps up and it def delayed ovulation this month (according to ff I O'd on cd19 - which is really late for me, I'm a 28 day girl usually!)
Illness really messes w/ your cycles I think... Hope you can stay healthy this month, good luck!!!!!!!! |

| I've looked at your FF charts for this cycle and last one. I think it's quite right that you ovulated on CD26 ... did you notice that this was your day for ovulation last cycle too?
I have had a cold of sorts every cycle since charting. The first month was the worst and it really upset my temps and the chart itself. I had to discard one or two of them to get it right and my temp soared right at the crucial ovulation time. It does really mess it up, but doesn't make it impossible.
No point worrying about it though as there is nothing you can do about it. Just keep noting down whatever you get and discard any that are way off. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | yes both cycles i've been chartign had a ovulation day at cd26. I've also ha da cold right around cd13-16both cycles so i don't feel either chart is massively accurate although i do think that this cycle is far more accurrate than the last. Have you tried changing your ovulation detector to Fertility Awareness from Advanced? id be interested to know if it changed any of your cycles with you having along ones. |

| I think part of the problem with my ovulation detection may relate to me taking my temps at different times. I work shifts and it can't be avoided. What I did was adjust one or two of the temps to see what would happen to my chart. I chose a few ambiguous ones and hey presto, I got a different and in my opinion more accurate ovulation. Then I sent a message to the expert on FF and asked for their opinion and they adjusted the settings on my chart to give me a better ovulation date according to my temps. They did this because the first chart I completed, I had a whopping head cold and really high temps just at ovulation. The chart said CD9, but the experts reckon CD11 is more like it. I agree with them, but my BD time was perfect and nothing happened. Just goes to show, timing is important, but mother nature has to do her part too. |
