I'm Currently Feeling:

what position?

Hi ladies, I was wondering if you could help me remember what position your cervix is meant to be in when fertile? Is it high and harder etc, or soft and squishy and within reach? I really cant remember, as some of you may have read, for the past couple of days, I have been getting weird cramping and today I think I have EWCM (first time ever since TTC!!) and everything in there feels really squishy and for once I think I can feel the cervix, just want to know what you guys think. Thanks, Candice xx

PS- I sat with my diary last night and worked out dates etc, and well, I was knocked for six, cos yesterday as it would have it was theoretically day 14 of my cycle(going by last month anyway- so who knows!!)

Yeah Diva is correct. It's meant to be high soft and open.
Mine was high soft and open on CD8....my cervix has a mind of it's own! x

This is my first cycle charting... How do you tell the difference between high, medium, and low? Sorry for sounding like an idiot but I'm starting to chart and I don't know. I think mine is pretty high right now, I have reach to get to it lol and its kind of soft and squishy and slightly open.

BrittBs I have just copied and pasted this, it might help

Cervix is Low, Hard & Closed
After your menstrual period you will begin to start checking your cervical position. At this time the position of your cervix will be low within your body and easily reached with your fingertips. The opening to your cervix will be closed - feeling like a small slit or a tiny hole. The feel of your cervix will be rather hard to the touch. It will feel almost like touching the tip of your nose. During this phase (the first phase within your cycle) you are considered infertile.

Cervix is High, Soft & Open
Right before ovulation occurs the amount of estrogen increases within your body. This causes your cervix to rise. When checking your cervical position, you will notice that it will move from the lowest point to mid and then extremely high. At the highest point it may be difficult to reach your cervix with your fingertips. The opening of your cervix increases making the slit or tiny hole much larger. The feel of your cervix is much softer now almost like touching your bottom lip. This is an indication of your peak or most fertile time. The cervix will remain high until you ovulate - after which estrogen subsides and the hormone progesterone is released causing your cervix to return to its low. closed and hard position.

Thanks Kaelia!! That confused me though! It said right after AF it's supposed to be low, hard, and closed.... mine is about midway i guess now after reading that and soft like touching my lip and it's slightly open. But AF just ended yesterday. Is mine not normal? lol All this stuff is SOOOO confusing!
