Hi all

Ive been trailing through lots of posts for the last 2 days trying to get an idea if anyone else has been experiencing any of the symptoms that I have. And I have realised the wealth of expertise of the members of this site and have decided to join to get some much needed advise.

Firstly let me introduce myself. I am 28 years old, and have been married to my husband for a year now.

I was on the depo injection for about 5-6 years if not more, then changed to implanon 2 years ago with the forward thought that one day i would want to concieve and i know depo takes a while to get out of your system.

After having the implanon implanted, after about 4 months my cycles returned to normal (regular 28 day cycle with 4-5 days bleeding) after not having a cycle at all on depo.

3 months ago I decided to have the implanon removed in order for us to TTC. I waited for 2 months cycle before TTC as I have heard of people miscarrying after concieving before their fist cycle.

Ok so the short and long of it is (sorry if this is TMI, but I want the best advise I can get). Last day of bleeding was 1st November. We have had regular intercourse since (last time was wed 18).

im trying to not read too much into anything as i know its not worth trying to symptom spot (and of course I am a control freak and like to know exactly whats happening) and try and enjoy the the time TTC.

But, since about Tuesday I have had some strange symptoms. Firstly my wee became quite pungent smelling (or so it seems) I am usually sensitive to smells but this was terrible.

Then yesterday slight cramps - like mini period pains... then when I went to the loo yesterday afternoon I had a pinky brown discharge, which was gone later (nothing on my knickers only when I wiped)

Today still have twinging cramps - but discharge is more brown (like you would expect at maybe the end of a period) usually when I come on its really heavy and red.

My husband says he is sure I am going to come on any day as my skin is bad and I am as moody as hell.

No nausea or vomitting, and boobs arent particularly tender (but never really are during my period)

I would guess I am about Day 24 or 25 of my cycle (im right in thinking you count from the first day of bleeding? sorry this is all very new to me)

Any ideas of what these symptoms might indicate - pregnancy or wild imagination? And if pregnancy, when would be the earliest (or rather best) to test, and other things to watch out for.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated, and i thank you for reading my rather long winded post.

Hi, I am also very new to all this (joined a few days ago) and firstly I should warn u this site is very addictive! The girls are great at helping with any prob or just to chat to, I'm currently in my first month TTC waiting to OV so I might not be much help.
But from questions I have asked Ive been told that you should try and wait til u r 6-7 days late coming on AF. Your CD's are counted from the first day of AF and it sounds to me like preggers symptoms but it really depends how many days past OV you are...

I'm sorry if this is no help. I also wanted to just say hi and good luck TTC! Other answers to your question "what else to look out for" will help me so I'll watch this threat thanks :-) I am also trying to enjoy TTC as much as poss without obsessing over things but it's so difficult!

For the sake of your own sanity dont rely on symptoms!lol you usually find it was all your imagination Wait to see if your period comes when it should, if it doesnt wait about a week before testing to avoid disappointment. If you do end up testing I recommend a first response early result test.

Your symptoms sound good though!

Just wanted to give you some things I went through after implanon removal as I felt really alone and that no one could really give me any solid info. I had mine taken out 9 weeks ago. Had what I would count as normal AF only just over a week ago. In the first month after removal I was SURE i was already pregnant. I had cramps, backache and headaches. The real convincer though was that a couple of times I actually had dizziness and nausea and completely lost my appetite. Also sore boobs and even increased urination. Bearing in mind, never having been pregnant before I didn't actually know all of these were 'signs' before I started looking them up.

I also had a tiny bit of pink when i wiped which then turned brown for about a day which when i did research was SURE it was implantation bleeding.

Anyway just wanted to share my post implanon experience with you, as I really wish someone had warned me!!!

thanks for the replies, AF arrived so i guess it wasnt to be - fingers crossed and keep trying.
