Hi girls,

Just a query about this, which is really worrying me. Have come off bcp 6 months ago, and have settled to a regular 36/37 day cycle. I spot for a week before AF (makes me think its implantation every month, argh!)

Does anyone else have anything similar? What causes this spotting? Is my cycle abnormally long?

Thanks for any advice, everyone here seems so supportive and positive!

My friend generally had spotting for a week before her AF after she came off the pill.

One month she had spotting for a week as normal but then she didnt get any proper bleeding the next week - did a test and got her BFP.

So hopefully it is all normal - and crossing fingers for your BFP v vv soon.

Hi Kat, I came off bc in nov last year and I also get this spotting, it drives me demented!! I was on implant and mini pill at the same time for bleeding. It is only now, this month ( fingers crossed) that I think that things are settling. My cycles i think are about 25-26 days long, and I have bled before for at least 12 days in a row. I say bleed, but the first week is like browny pinky spotting, and the proper bleeding finally starts after about a week. Iwas never like this before bc, but I was 16 then. Periods have been considerably lighter than I remembered also, so Who knows, I may not be back to normal yet.Hope this helps, good luck, Candice xx

I've been off the pill for 2 years and for the past several months spot for a few days before AF makes her appearance.
