BBT has to be done the same time each morning (after at least 4 hours of sleep) and BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING other than roll over for your thermometer.
BBT is the base temperature of your body at rest, and as soon as you move (get up and go potty or sit up in bed, your BBT starts to rise and then you'll get innacurate readings.
I know a lot of women who wake up an hour or two earlier than they would get up, temp, write it on a piece of paper, then go back to sleep. Some have their husbands do it while they sleep when they get up to go to work.
The key here is you have got to catch yourself at rest
Good luck.
Also, remember BBT is a secondary indicator of fertility, in other words you cannot predict ovulation with it, you can only tell when you have already ovulated. Cervical mucous (a primary indicator) might be something you consider charting along with BBT to help you anticipate ovulation and get to know your cycle even better.
