Ok so I got impatient and called the clinic to find out if they have received the results of my blood test back and they did it was a negative. I guess that puts my mind to ease...well sort of. The question still arises: why haven't I gotten my AF? I really dont feel stressed or whatever. I know that a m/c can mess up your cycle but honestly I got a normal AF after the m/c usual flow and usual length. My AF came 27 days from the day of my m/c and 23 days if you count it after from the day my m/c bleeding stopped. I have a 28 day cycle, always have, give or take the day before or the day after. I am now on CD42 of a 28 day cycle which I think is weird. Hmm..who knows. I know that someone had replied to my post yesterday about neg blood results+could you still be pregnant. She said no, but I really thought I had read that some of the girls on here had had that happen. My friend sent me this (information/forum posts she got from the net)::

"Just like home pregnancy tests, labs vary in what is considered a positive pregnancy test. Common cutoffs for positive blood tests for pregnancy are 5, 10, and 25 units. A level under 5 is considered negative. A blood test that is only triggered at 25 units of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is not any more sensitive than several of the home pregnancy tests."

" I do remember reading on another message board where this girl said that her doctor told her that this happens to 30% of women. He said that they get negative results in blood and urine until about the 4th month before it starts to show positive" ....I assume she found this on a forum.

"I do remember with my first son i didn't find out until i was 8 1/2 weeks pregnant"....also from a forum.

"Blood tests, just like urine tests, work by detecting HCG levels. Blood tests are much more precise and can tell you the exact number of HCG mIU/ml in the blood. Even with the most sensitive blood test, it is still possible to be pregnant with a negative test."


I just think its too weird that im 2wks late and still no sign of AF considering im never late. Now I guess I just wait to see if my next AF comes or if Im still left waiting. I just wish she would hurry up and come because she is throwing off everything!! Anyways, Thanks everyone for their support and to everyone who got a BFP: CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Yes, i can see how confusing it can all be.. but i have been told it can wreck havoc with your cycles depending on when the hgc comes down to normal post mc.. having said that,, who knows..

im behind you in this waiting game as im only a week and half past the d&c but if you count the d&c as cd 1 i should be ovulating soon..but still nothing... im hoping though, just like you, that I'll be lucky and fall sooner than later, so I can see where you're coming from..

I checked my CM and (this is going to be TMI) it was chunkyish but not like yeast infection im not itchy or sore or anything but she (my MIL) thinks my vag wall might still be thick from the preg/mc and that that could be making the dc thick, it also had bloodish in it (not dark but spotting kind of color)She said that she was told (she wasnt trying to get pregnant she had a partial hysterectomy)along with another lady who was trying to get preggers to sit in a bath with your arms back (kinda sit on ur elbows if ya know what I mean) and swish your legs back and forth in a scissor motion about 5 or 6 times and stop and then do it again 5 or 6 times and then once more like that and it will help clean out your uterus and whatnot. I was told by my MIL to take a hot bath and that it might help kickstart AF...Im gonna do it tonight! Haha I never thought I would pray for AF to come but here I am. Sorry if this all seems weird or crazy.
