Opinions on drinking alcohol during the 2ww

Hi Ladies,

What are your opinions in regard to alcohol during the 2ww. I'm 5dpo and thinking should drink tonight or not? What would be your advice?

My personal opinion is that a glass of wine won't hurt. I think (maybe wishful thinking, but anyway!) I might be pg (about 10 or so DPO) and I certainly still indulged in a glass of champers at a celebration last night, as did my 10 week preggers SIL. A little of what you fancy does you good, just don't get fall-down drunk ... moderation is the key!

Different countries have different guidelines, but where I live in the Netherlands, 2 or 3 glasses of wine per week is considered (by doctors) perfectly acceptable for pregnant women. YMMV, so you must follow the medical advice that you have faith in, but now you know my opinion. :-)

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm thinking a couple of white wine spritzers with a meal tonight won't do too much damage - I just needed some to reassure me!!
