Steph .... my OPKs also say that you're meant to let the wee get to room temp, which I did for the first few times .... but i don't bother now! And I still get results! I test between 3 and 8pm usually... and always get + ok. I can't always test at the same time due to work .. so sometimes I do 2 in a day to make sure I've covered myself!

Even this chart suggests you start testing on day 19 not 10.....

Didn't you say your cycle was 40 days? If so that suggests start testing on day 19 (if you line them up)
