question...hoping you ladies can help...

i am currently sick with H1N1. Thankfully I am finally starting to feel better. I am supposed to ovulate next wednesday, do you think I still have a chance for this month considering I got this flu? Or do you think I shouldn't even try? I want to. I think DH will always be up for even if he feels like he is dying lol!

Just hoping that getting this stupid flu means I can't get a this month!

If you are feeling fine by then, I don't see any real problem. It's just like any other sickness (or flu) - if you're feeling ok in a week, then it's really not an issue.

If you're still feeling really run-down and poorly, you might be better to give yourself another cycle to recover, but that's your call depending on how you feel. The fact that you were sick with H1N1 doesn't make any difference, it just depends on your general health.

Get well soon!

well i feel like crap lol as I still have a fever but I think I should be fine by next week. I know my sister (who is a RN) said the cough can last a long time. But other than this damn flu I'm very healthy. Just wondering if being sick like this can stop ovulation....

Oh sorry Holly, I totally misunderstood your question!

I truly have no idea if sickness can stop ovulation. I would guess that yes, in theory *anything* can throw your cycle off. It would depend how sick you were, how susceptible you are to cycle changes, etc etc etc.

I would just assume that all is well and proceed as per usual, sadly there are no definites in this game but I see no reason to not bother trying :-)

lol. Well i've been sick since tuesday and I think the worst is behind me. The cough can last up to three weeks from what i hear and my cough is bad!
Ok well I'll give it a go next week, hopefully this hasn't screwed my cycle up! Though my FF charts are pretty much impossible to read thanks to this fever!

I know what you mean! My chest is so raw right now! But 3 of my nephews got it three weeks ago and two of them still have the dry cough. But otherwise they feel fine. I just hope I'm lucky and it goes away quickly

Yeah I think the highest temp i got was 38.80 but this morning it was still a little high being at 37.54 (or something like that). Yeah the temps now should matter as much but I have a feeling it will make it harder for FF to detect ovulation. I have been marking down in FF which temps are fevers so hopefully it won't impact it that badly.

It could delay ovulation but it may not, were they the two temps that are missing? If they were only a couple of temps early on you could just disregard them and they shouldnt mess anything up. You could still leave them in if the fever only affected two days, you should still have enough pre-O temps that would be normal so that ff would be able to determine an accurate cover line. Good luck hun!
