Hi guys - wanted to share this and see if anyone has any thoughts or experienced something similar -

this is our 7th month of TTC and 3rd month of using the CBFM - I got my first high fertility day early this month on cd8 – here is what has happened pervious two months:

1st month - high fertility on cd 13 14 15 and then peak 16 17 and high 18.
2nd month - high fertility on cd 11 12 13 peak 14 15 high 16

3rd month - high fertility on cd 8 and 9

My last AF was very odd - had very light spotting when I wiped for about four days then only one day of full flow followed by one day of light spotting. I did a pregnancy test afterwards just to make sure but negative. My AF are using very heavy with lots of clots and painful cramps but nothing like that this month.

I guess I'm in for an extra short cycle this month.

Only thing i have similar so far is that I've been spotting for 4 days now.All i can say is that you are probably ovulating a little early this month or like you said it'll be a short cycle.I guess i'm not much help.Good luck!Hope you get your BFP soon.

Miss Monty, your cycles seem almost exact to mine!

Im having the exact same prob aswell, had an odd AF and now straight to highs at CD8 and 9

CD10 - 12 High
CD13 - 14 Peak
CD15 - High

Here is my summary from this month (Jan/Feb)


CD7 - 11 High
CD12 - 13 PEAK!
CD14 - High

I also had a strangely light period this month. I only heavily bled for one day and on the 3rd day only brown spotting. I haven't started testing on cbfm (only on cd4)

i think ill be just sooo excited to have a peak!! can't wait to use my monitor. What cd did you all strt your on? figure theres no point starting on cd 1, thought would wait till cd4/5. Will this be ok?

Your monitor will tell you when to test. You can set your monitor to work from the first full day of AF, by holding in the 'm' button until it has set. If you miss the first day of AF, you can set your monitor up to CD5, by holding in the 'm' button until the number shows your CD number. The monitor will not ask for a sample before CD6. If you try to do it before then, it doesn't accept it. On your first cycle it will ask for your sample on CD6, but depending on how long your cycle is, following months may require testing to start after CD6.

The instructions make it seem very complicated, but once you get going it is really easy to use.

The thing to remember is that your monitor will only analyse your sample within a certain window. I think you have three hours either side of your set up time eg if you set your CD1 at 8am, you can test between 5am and 11am. Outside that time you can't do it.

Yeah each month I'm getting highs two days earlier than the last - I'm wondering if the first few months the monitor is just getting to know you - I don't really understand how it keeps all the information and how it is deciding when to ask you to start testing - its a very cleaver little machine!

CD10 today - still high - I should get a peak reading tomorrow judging from previous cycles.
