Hi girls...

Looks like every dr has a different opinion!

Doc at family planning clinic told me that cause sperm can live inside you for 2-3 days, she said to have sex every 2-3 days, so you'll always have sperm inside you when the egg makes an appearance!
Its still to work for us tho.
Don't agree with doc saying that charting etc is useless-my cycles are so irregular that without it I wouldn't have a clue when I was ovulating. And at least I know when af is going to arrive instead of it being just a guessing game!

Good luck girlies!!!!!!

I forgot to add what my doc thinks about it all! He knowns theres a time limit for me and I guess he's used to me telling him what I want! I asked for 21 day bloods after my chemical two cycles ago, just to check the old progesterone is okay, because finding 6 months down the track something as simple as that could be off would have been devastating to the time I have left. Needless to say they are all good, but he's very understanding and has done everything he can to check that its all working and now its up to dh and myself to hit the jackpot! He told me to keep in touch every month so he can keep an eye out, so Im lucky he's understanding my situation and that time is of the essence!

We're going to our first Dr.'s visit in two weeks. I don't really know what to expect but i'm hoping we can get straight away to getting the SA and blood tests. I've been temping for 3 months and showing a very regular cycle with appropriate thermal shift at ovulation.
Can someone tell me what the CD 21 bloods are for? I know CD 3 is for FSH, right? And if the problem is with my OH's sperm, what do they do for that?

21 day bloods are checking your progesterone levels and confirming you O'd. You shouldnt need them if you've been charting and its all working, but get them if it puts you mind at rest, may as well if they are willing to do it and its only the matter of drawing a bit of blood!

My doc asked right away if I planned on temping when I went to her about TTC. I am planning on using a midwife (which is rare in these parts) so the doc wanted me to temp so that due dates etc would be accurate. Personally, I think temping is great, I found out so much about my body I didnt know about before. I have heard from several health professionals that temping may not be accepted by doctors as valid as it is not taught in most medical schools. Often charting is considered the same as using homeopathy or something similar. I know that in my country not many people know about it and those who do usually learn from friends who have gone through midwives...
