The Clearblue Fertility Monitor?


Dumb question but do u HAVE to buy the CB test strips or cud you use others? i thiking about getting one bc i've heard good things about i just would like to know if i cud buy chaper/off brand test strips? Thank You

Hi, you have to use the original CBFM sticks as they fit into a casing within the monitor.

Its worth getting though IMO, however if you are worried about the cost why not try temping as this is the cheapest way to monitor

I'd recommend it too, i had convinced myself i wasn't ovulating since i could never get a strong positive with opk's. But then my first month of using the cbfm it showed that i did ovulate! I know it seems expensive but i think its worth every penny and remember to trawl through ebay or amazon for a cheap second hand one - there are always a few!

I hope i dont sound thick,but........how do you temp?
I had heard you can do it internally?(tmi)
Does that work? And what is the temp you have to be to know youre ov?

Check out fertility friend it tells you all about it and you can do a daily lesson via email to ge you yp to speed with how the charting works. Temp can be oral or internal just has to be consistent!

That I couldnt advise as I personally dont temp i use the CBFM. Try the original CBFM thread though as many on there temp as well as use the monitor and they have a vast array of experiences to share
