Anyone else gettin annoyed with stupidly long cycles after BCP?

I came off the BCP at the end of last year and my cycles have been 52-54 days long since

Has anyone else experienced this and did they ever get shorter?

I still have 14 day LP but just hate that my cycles are soooo looooong.

Mine are long too (42-45 days), but not as long as yours! I've been off the pill for a year, and they haven't gotten shorter yet.

I understand your frustration, it makes for such a long wait between ovulations!!

My friend had to go back on the pill for a few months to get hers shorter after she had her baby. Her cycles were lasting around 40-45 days, but after she came back off the pill I think they stayed at about 32-35 days.

Hi girls,

I came off the BCPs in April this year & as a result, I didn't ovulate until the end of August.

Since then, I've ovukated twice only, as my cycles have been both 52 & 54 days long.

It's so frustrating.

Currently on day 6 of cycle 3 so let's see what happens this time!

Back in April. was hoping for a BFP before X-mas but at this rate there's little chance of that!

My LP is just 11 days, hoping it's not going to be a problem. xxxx

when I have stopped the pill my cycles have been only slightly longer than normal about 35 days the first cycle but then go back down to normal aftder the first cycle. I am on my first cycle after taking the progesterone only pill now so dont know how this pill will affect me!. I am cd 9 today so a while to go yet

Thanks for your responses girls :-)

I've got an appt at the Dr this afternoon so gonna talk about it with him. Don't quite know what I expect him to do but at least I can get it off my chest and have him check my tubes aren't blocked etc :-)

Will update later after I've seen him.

Well the Dr was helpful :-D She has told me to make an appt to have a blood test when I'm ovulating next and they'll test for things like Thyroid problems (which I have a history of in my family) and hormones etc to see what's going on. This could be the start of a long process but at least it's the start :-D

Bring on the big 'O'!!!
