Been to the docs ...

Been to the docs and she gave me the news that im going to have to start all the tests to find out if im fertile, and if i am why am i not getting my BFP

Luckily blood tests need to be done around now so im going back for that tomorrow!!

Just a bit niggled, about 2 years ago i went for an ultrasound to check everything out, and the hospital said all was well. The doc read off the report and it mentioned that i had some follicles on my ovaries. She explained this to me and said that it could of possibly developed into PCOS!! She ruled it out as a strong possibilty because my cycles are regular and according to OPK's im ovulating. Im just a bit niggled that the hospital failed to tell me this? Why on earth did they do that?

So im mentally preparing myself for the long and winding road which could possibly end up in IVF!!

I can't believe they didn't tell you that when you had your Ultrasound!! AND... if you have many follicles on your ovaries - from reading up on it... that is classed as Polycystic ovaries (see http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23069147/). Maybe you don't have many follicles on your ovaries though so it's not that atall. Luckily though, like you said, you are regular and ovulating, so hopefully you wont have to go as far as IVF if there is a problem with fertility. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

I hope there isn't a problem with your fertility and I am glad that they are going to look into it further for you. It is good, because if there is anything stopping you from becoming pregnant... they will now be able to find it and help you get there quicker than you would if you didn't go to the drs today.

I know it's easier said than done, but don't worry too much about what is lying ahead... you will get there and now you are going to get extra support.

Lots and lots of to you!

Oh Holly. I'm really pleased, sad and angry for you! Who knows how you must be feeling. I'm glad that you are getting more tests done and its good that PCOS doesn't seem too likely, but how annoying that you weren't told about it in the first place.
