Low Progesterone 7dpo...did I really ovulate?

Hi guys, I need some advice. I am on cycle #1 of 50mg Clomid. I never got a positive OPK, but my doc had me come in this morning, CD21, for a Progesterone test...to see if I could've missed it. My Progesterone was a 3.5. Everything I read online suggests over 10 means ovualtion, and ideally over 15 on a medicated cycle. So, did I not ovulate? The nurse's message says I DID ovulate and to expect my period in 7-10 days. She also said they will up the Clomid in the next cycle.

Help! Thoughts? Did I ovulate or no? Am I really going to get my period? How can I if I didn't ovulate?

From what Ive read that number means that you didnt ovulate, so Im unsure how they are saying how you did. Do you temp at all or where you just using opks?

My FS told me that 6 and above is a did ov and anything below is you didn't ov. Will they up your dose to 100mg next cycle?

Hi guys. Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate. I don't know why they're saying I ovulated. Ugh.

I did not temp, just OPKs. The RE was hoping to keep this cycle as "stress free" as possible.

And yes, they are upping my dosage for the next cycle. But why would I get my period if I didn't ovulate? I haven't had a period since going off BC 6 months ago...only Provera induced bleeding.

You can still get your period even if you didnt ovulate, it quite common to have cycles when you dont in your life time. Hopefully by them upping the dosage of clomid it will do the trick. Ive heard is can mess with opks too, how stressed do you think you would be if you temped? Itsa very useful tool to us to confirm O and then get to know what your luteal phase is, so you will know when to expect af and when to get excited! I assume they will be taking 21day bloods again after the next round? How long is your cycle normally, Im wondering maybe if those bloods may have been out as they are really 7dpo bloods and if you didnt know when O time was the bloods may have been taken at a time that wouldnt give the full picture?

I don't really know how long my cycles are, b/c it has been more than 10 years since I've had one. I do remember I was regular before BC, periods every 28-30 days like clockwork.

I think I will try temping the next round, on Clomid 100mg. And take Robitussin for better CM. Maybe grapefruit juice too, after reading that thread.

I guess I just have trouble believing my body will suddenly have a period without ovulating. It hasn't happened in the last six months (ovulation or period). I'm antsy to get on to the next cycle, since this one seems to have been a bust!!!

And to answer your question, yes, I feel this CD21 test was random...since I never got a + OPK, the RE's protocol is to test on CD21.

Yes I agree with you the cd21 bloods would have been really just a stab in the dark since there was no way to know exactly when you O'd. Its seems a bit strange that they havnt tried to get your cycle back on track before they went for clomid. I would have though they would have tried to bring af back on first to see if they could have reset your body. Clomid is only suppose to be taken for so many days before O, eg cd3-cd7, in your cycle so if there is no cycle to speak of how are they determining when you should take it? Sorry for all the questions, just seems a bit odd!

Sorry, I neglected to mention that they have tried re-starting my cycle with Provera a couple of times, to no avail. I took 10days/10mg of Provera b/f this first Clomid cycle. Began taking Clomid 50mg on third day of Provera-induced bleed. So, yeah, they have tried to create a cycle situation.

No worries at all, those were good Qs. I hope the 100mg works, too. So badly. Now I'm just worried about the period coming. If I didn't ovulate, I really don't see why AF will suddenly show up this time!
