Do the OPKs not always work for everybody?

i usually "O" on CD12 orCD13 (i have a short cycle of 26 days) but i have being TTC for 4 month and i bought a OPK test this month just to confirm or double check my "O" days and i got a dark line positive on CD11 witch confirm i will ovulate in the 24 hours or 36 hours (i took the test at 7:00 am...) so i kind of trust the opk test...

I think I have O early, I am on cd 13 today and 2 days ago I felt like I O, sorry if TMI, I had lots of cm and a pain in my side on and off not too bad and I have been getting cramps yesterday and today. I need to get some opks. But I am pretty sure I did. But I have a long cycle from 31 to 36 days normally although last month was cd 29.
