Anyone else feel like they're wishing their life away?

Hi everyone...

I've just ventured into this forum as I've spent the last week and a bit on the miscarriage forum. Had m/c last week, but thankfully now given the all-clear.

Just wondering...does anyone else feel like they're wishing their life away whilst TTC? I just pray for the days and weeks to pass quickly so that I can find out if I'm preg. And when the BFN appears, I wish the time to pass quickly so that we can try again! Am slightly afraid that, if it takes me a long time to conceive again, I will have allowed my life to just pass me by!

How do you take control of the impatience and regain an appreciation of life?!!!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!!!

Hi schmelly. I feel the same, it does feel a bit like i'm just wanting the time to go quickly. It's been nearly 4 months since we started TTC, and i can't believe where the time has gone. I try to think that "it will happen when it happens" so it doesn't take control of my life. I also try not to visit sites and forums until the weekends, so i can concerntrate on on my other commitments during the week.
I know its really hard NOT to become absorbed into the TTC lifestyle, but you just have to find some way of holding off!

Sorry if that was rubbish! x

heh i am definitely wishing it would be next week! horrible, isn't it? I don't know what kind of solution there is for it except maybe pick up a hobby or go out and do something outdoors like a walk or similar. I'm a pretty bad influence though, as my life is boring and i rarely if ever leave the house...i live somewhere where i don't know anyone and have no job, DH works all day, if i didn't have TTC to think about all day i think i would be infront of the TV all day x_x. Sorry i am no help but i can relate to how you feel

i definately wish it away, either wanting ov to come then waiting for bfp/AF then back around again. Last month after missing bd'ing around ov time, i was gutted that i had a month to wait to try again, its a sad state of mind.

Hi Schmelly.

I know exactly how you feel. I have gone all week hoping that I was pregnant for the to turn up today. To be honest with you although I am disappointed, I am also relieved as I can start again and dont have to panic about testing and thinking that I am pregnant.

I know that I will be in the same boat in 3 weeks time.

I can now 'breathe' for a while and get on with other things to take my mind off pregnancy symptoms.

Good luck lovely xx

So sorry about your miscarriage. It must be hard not to be totally consumed with TTC after such an event. I can relate to "wishing my life away." I'm always wanting it to be ovulation day or test day! Basically, I wish there were only a few days in the month, so I can get on to another try already! My DH keeps me pretty grounded, as much as he can, I think I would go nutty without him. Good Luck!

So sorry to hear about your m/c hon.

Yes, I feel like I'm wishing my life away. For the 2 weeks after OVing, my life goes on hold. I'm trying to write a novel but I don't bother with that and search the net for symptoms instead. I can't focus at work so that's slipping away. It's all I think about. My mates have told me that I seem more down than usual (I'm usually really happy and hyper). I know it'll be worth it in the end but I always thought it would be easy and good fun and exciting but it's not really, it's stressful! I'm trying not to stress but I can't stop and I'm not sure what to do about it. x
