Main tips for temping are set your alarm for the same time each morning so that you can temp and then either get up or go back to sleep.
Don't get up and then temp, make sure you temp before you do anything, ideally before you even speak. Oh, and make sure you've had at least 3 hours solid sleep.
Temping does take a month or two to get into, but once you do, it's like second nature.
