| Not ovulating on Clomid round #1...thoughts? Hi guys, I'm a first time poster, long time stalker! I'm a healthy 30yr old with unexplained anovulation. Was on BC for 10 years and never got a period after going off it to TTC. Fast forward 6 months and here I am. This month I did Clomid 50mg/days 3-7 for the first time. I'm on CD16 and haven't gotten any positive OPKS (been testing since CD8), nor do I have other symptoms of ovulation (like EGCM). I'm pretty sure this cycle is a bust and I will have to be upped in dosage. But I just wanted to see if anyone has a good story about getting a late positive OPK (without CM!) so I can finish up the weekend with hope.
FYI, I'm seeing an RE and will get a progesterone test on CD21. This month I was not BBTing (he didn't want me "adding more stress") and not monitored with ultrasounds, etc. | | | | Status: Offline

| Def dont give up, clomid pushed my ovulation back to cd18 and there are a lot of stories of ladies on here ov around cd21/22 on clomid.
Def finish the weekend with hope as you are def not out yet. I was on 3-7 for my first cycle too. Let me know how you get on. XXXXX
Ps I would maybe reschedule the cd21, its actually supposed to be taken 7dpo so if there is any sign of ov schedule for 7 days after for a true progesterone reading. XXX | | | | Status: Offline

| Thanks Crypto. That is fab to hear. I've gotten so many faint lines, it's been pretty tough to keep the chin up on this cycle. It feels like I will never ovulate! The RE said to call on CD18 (Tues) if I still don't have a positive... | | | | Status: Offline

| I was so sure this cycle was a bust...you've totally turned my mood around today. Thank you!!! We have been BDing every single morning since CD8! Definitely covering my bases. (It's not painful, but I do wish there was some CM to make it a little easier for both of us.) | | | | Status: Offline

| I also ovulated late on clomid. I usually ovulate consistently on CD 14 and this cycle I am on CD 17. I also did not have any EWCM which I usually have. Actually I have had hardly any CM at all since I have been on clomid.
It is still early and hopefully your + OPK is right around the corner!! | | | | Status: Offline

(It's not painful, but I do wish there was some CM to make it a little easier for both of us.) | I would recommend Robitussin cough medicine, it thins the cm so its a bit easier. If its really bad a teeny tiny blob of preseed or conceive plus, but not too much as it can kill some of the sperm.
The robitussin is prob the best option to begin with as it dilutes your own cm which is better for sperm.
If you are buying this buy the red box as it has no other medicinal things mixed in!
Next month ( if you need another month, BFP this month please for you!!) you could start evening primerose oil at the start of the cycle.
Hope thats of use, sorry if you know about these things already. X | | | | Status: Offline

| Thanks Deeni, your late ovulating story keeps the glimmer of hope alive. Do you get faint lines b/f your positive? My OPK lines are oh so faint...
Crypto, I have heard abt PreSeed and primrose oil....I may indeed try those. I actually have been doing Robitussin since CD14 and so far it hasn't made any diff. I got nothin' going on down there.
Thank you guys!!! | | | | Status: Offline

My OPK lines are oh so faint... | My lines were not faint but they never went darker than the comparison line. I don't really have much faith in OPKs anyway. There have been times that I never got a positive but I knew that I ovulated. | | | | Status: Offline
