Sperm tests....?

Has anyone had any experience of

tests?

I am considering buying one for my OH.

I've found one at baby mad.com:

Has anyone used this test?

Any other test to recommend?

I am in the UK.

I bet you can't request one at the Docs until you've been trying AGES....?

I haven't tried one, but I was looking the other day & if AF gets me this month then I'm going to buy one.

Interesting - I was pondering asking DH to go for a test this cycle - maybe we'll try the DIY route instead!

I think the Docs ask you to wait a year it under 30 and months if over 30.
I've gone for my tests but OH is a big ginny and won't go for his.

You would be better off going to the doctors as they can give you a breakdown of the results and let you know of any particular problem such as morphology which that test cant. You can have lots of sperm but in bad shape so they cant get to the egg but if you done that test you would be under the impression that the sperm was fine so its quite misleading.

my dr won't test till 12 months.

my OH asked the doctor for one and he gave him a letter to go to the hospital with (he didnt end up going as something came up) no pun intended but it is not a lengthy process the doctor gives you a letter you call the hospital and make an appointment and thats it

We took 2 of them and one only tells you count and if you have a problem with that, you are likely to cause yourself more stress as we did and buy more sperm tests which are more confusing. However, if this test comes up normal, it may give you peace of mind until you can get to a doctor. I reviewed these sperm tests-1 similar to the one you want to buy in the first page of my journal. I wasn't impressed for the 100$ I spent and now we are getting an SA anyway for $60!
