Evening Primrose Oil


Anyone know if there is any benefit to taking it when ttc??

It is supposedly good for helping to produce EWCM if taken in large doses like 3000mg per day. I found that it mainly gave me greasy skin and loads of spots so I have cut it out now in favour of Pink Grapefruit juice which seems to do the trick for me.

Thanks. I normally take it anyway but didn't know if there would be a benefit for ttc! Helps even out my temprement.... so they say!!!! Another way for sayin I'm a moody cow!!! lol

you take it up to Ov anything from 1000 - 3000mg. I was taking 1000.
grapefriut juice and vitamin c and diary products helps with CM.
since AF i have had EPO and an orange everyday - and a yogurt when i remember
i think its has helped

I only started taking it for a few days but more or less as soon as i did start i started spotting. Not sure if that was the culprit but as soon as i stopped taking it so did the spotting.

I dunno, just seems to be so many vitamins etc. floating about you don't know what to take!! When we decided to ttc I went out and bought a shed load of folic acid and palmers tummy butter (just incase!!) lol

i started using EPO this month and had EWCM for 3 days. i last had this when in first cycle when came off the pill 3 months ago! so i was very pleased. mine also contained starflower oil.

yes you are right about loadsa vitamins. thats why o take EPO and folic acid

i try to eat fuit and veg which gives you all the vitamins and nutrients anyway and its good for you anyway

so if you can eat spinach, spring onions, brocolli ( folic acid)
kiwi, oranges (Vit C)
grapefruit juice , yogurts for CM

then say hello to BFP!!!

Thanks, worth keeping taking it then anyway, stopped taking my pill mid cycle, this is my 2nd af since stopping taking pill 7 weeks ago so at least they have come back regular, was on it for 10 years.Have been very lucky.

Lets hope so, I'm a vegetarian so I live on fruit and veggies!!! lol
