So ladies haha yes call me a mad women but this is all boggling my mind!!


Ok so I wrote to a drs show called the doctors tv dont know if anyone watches it , but I do I love it i am nurse as it is so everything medical thrills me as well as an information bug!! Ok so I contacted them and wrote

1. why is that some women produce HCG slower then others and if so when they do get a psoitive pregnancy test really late does it usually result in miscarriage, if so why.

2. Why do some women NEVER test positive on urine or blood. Honestly they say scientifically the women HAS to have HCG in their blood at least if they are pregnant well then why do some women carry to have full term babies and NEVER get a positive it just dosent make scence! Technically we could all be pregnant at any time even if we did get a negative test!! These women did what makes them so different!! I have heard of a women having a normal BFP at 12dpo first pregnancy 2nd NEVER testing positive!! Like how is that!! ???


Anyways ladies if any of you have had this experience let me know I would like to see just "how many " ladies JUST on this forum have either 1 tested reeally late and it was psotive resulted in a succesful pregnancy or sadly in a M/C as well as how many of you had negative BLOOD test and were pregnant because surely that dosent make sence blood tests can detect.1 HCG so why cant they pick up anything!!

I first tested positive at 11 weeks and 4 days pregnant, so quite a while after ovulation. Was my first and only pregnancy,and LO is totally healthy. I didn't have a blood test, just several negative pregnancy tests (a few different brands).

I asked a few midwives and GPs, with no answers. One said it might just be how my body deals with HCG. I'll be interested to see if it happens next time I get pregnant.

Well if I get any answers I will be sure to post as well! Kind of strange how one's body can deal with it and another can't !! Oh well science is faulty again LOL! Not a surprise!

Did any dr answer you or just the generic answer "its how your body produces it"

This makes me giggle because I *just* posted about this (which I would link, but this site won't let me because I am new!). I never did get a positive test, not even when I knew (for sure!) that I was pregnant and just did a test for fun.

See how bizzarre!!! I just dont understand I mean some women see the baby on ultrasound as well as hear the heartbeat but test negative through blood and urine like how is that possible!! I dont think the HCG tests are as accurate and they need to brainstorm another way to be able to detect pregnancy one that works for ALL women!!

TOTALLY AGREE!! It isn't fair... women shouldn't have to find out at 7 or more weeks that they are pregnant... NUTS!
