Raging hormones and a new job

I have just started working at a new job which is a maternity cover position. I have made great friends with the lady whose position I am covering. I am being trained to take over from her, and she goes on maternity leave in Feb.

I am working with another lady who is also on a tempory contract, who today announced she too is pregnant, and will be going on maternity leave 3 weeks after Lady #1.

I feel sad and happy and jealous and stressed all in one big ball. There is only the three of us there, and already the conversation is predominately babies, but now with 2 out of 3 being pregnant, the conversation will not deviate from it! I feel like a cow for being so jealous, but I find it so had already, without being the only female there not pregnant - is that petty?

So now I have only been there a month, and in February will be totally on my own trying to do everything that I havent really been taught. I guess i feel a bit put on. I dont mind a bit of stress, but i dont want to totally mess up, and have to do this and train someone else too. I dont know half of what i should yet. There wont be a new person to train till after christmas, so i dont have long to learn everything myself.

I want to be happy for them and look at scan pictures and be all "aaww" and stuff, but i swear i nearly cried today. They are both the same age as me, and if i hadnt MC I would have a 1month old bub now.

Poxy AF is here with me now, 3 weeks late, and taunting me.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Sorry
L
x

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. It is so frustrating when it seems everyone around us is pg and not us...especially when they can normally do it with no problems...and we suffer in silence to try to have a baby!! Several of my friends have either recently given birth or just announced their pgs (within the last month) and I am beyone jealous!! I just want to have a baby and would be 17 or 18wks along by now if I hadn't had a mc back in August. All I can do is try to have as much PMA as possible to know that as long as I keep chugging along and doing my best, it WILL happen for me (and you too). Keep your head up...

I just feel like a cow - i should be happy for them, just being selfish i guess because it is not happening to me. It is doing my brain in talking about babies and clothes and scans and hospitals and birth plans. Obviously it wouldnt be if it was ME going through it!

Scares me now because i have started this new job, and when the other two go on maternity leave it kinda puts pressure on me to stay and hold the fort? ( if that makes sense?)
