Feeling really deflated and fed up

I apologise in advance am just in a rut today. 10 days late for af today, got bfn on hpt last night and this morning again. Surprise Surprise! Then got to work and there was a tiny bit of a show of af but hardly anything at all and sorry if too much info but its brown and i never have periods like this. Always full flow and red. ?? Rang docs to see if mayb i could get appt, nothing for over a week and so managed to persuade the receptionist to book me in for blood test with nurse instead to see if im pregnant. Is it just me or do all GP receptionists have a habit of making you feel pathetic and paranoid?

Am i being stupid?? Do you think this is my period after all this time? Im soooo fed up of being in limbo land this cycle. cos my cycle is normally 38 days long, being 10 days late on top of that, it just seems to have gone on and on. This is month no:8 of ttc and im just scared theres something wrong with me.
Sorry for babbling im just feeling really stupid and even burst inot tears when i got off phone to docs. Not having good day.

Hey dont apologise - thats why we're here. I think bearly everyone on this forum has felt deflated and fed up on at least one occasion since embarking in the TTC journey.
It could be the start of AF or it might not be - you'll know more over the next few hours so keep us posted. If it is AF then perhaps its been late if you've not been well or maybe feeling stressed about TTC?
Anyway, chin up hun and let us know how things progress.

Hey, thats what sites like this are for, we know how hard it is. Merv's mum's right, it might be the stress thats mucking your cycle up. Snd yes, dr's receptionists are like that up here too, and I'm at the opposite end of the country!! Why don't you and your OH do something nice and spur of the moment? Open a bottle of wine, get a takeawy, go to the pictures? Try to focus on something nice. I know its not that easy, but don't forget to love yourself in amidst the ttc mayhem

Well that makes things a bit more difficult then Just tell your OH that you're hormonal and he'd better not argue!!! You are 10 days late and on a 38day cycle is that right? I can't even begin to imagine how you are coping. It must take the patience of a saint. When are you going to see the nurse?

Im seeing the nurse tomorrow morning, just to have a blood test, if i want to see the doc re: my cycle etc will need to wait a week. Dont really think im preg deep down as i would have had a bfp by now. Yeah it has been trsting my patience as its a really long cycle to get through, normally if i wasnt trying itd be fab as id only have a period every so often id love it but not good news when youre trying eh? Ill let you know what happens.
