For all who have gotten a positive opk..help please

How often did you check for ovulation when you got your positive? i've never got a positive and wondered if i'm doing something wrong. Just started temping last month so i think last months chart was innaccurate so i didn't wanna just go by FF ovulation prediction as my temps are all over anyway.

I am highly irregular (cycles anywhere from 23 to 35 day) so started doing the tests twice daily from around four days after my period ended.

Just used cheapies. Can get about 100 for next to nothing so using two a day is not so bad. I got a positive the day before yesterday. Had been light in the morning, then I got crazy EWCM so tested that night and it was positive.

think I can help

not sure if I understood your question but I'll tell you what I've been doing if that helps at all. I follow the date guides on the opk test pack and start seeing on the sticks from the day it suggests and I do mine first thing in the morning, that way I havnt got to worry about have I drunk too much before etc and then I keep my sticks just incase until I get the darkest line.thatway I can compare them. I know if its a positive cos the test line is always as dark as the control line or darker. If I test again there's either no line or a very faint one so I know the previous day was a winner.most months thats worked for me.I don't monitor ovulation any other way, wouldn't have a clue how to do it.hope that helps. I use clear blue opk tests but they are pricey, prob why I have no money!

hmm, maybe id be better getting a clearblue opk then. The cheapies i have say def do not use fmu... and that you have to collect urine and leave it for half hour before testing.

thats news to me but I've never used the cheappies.lots of the girls on here have tho and said they are fine but if they are not working for u can't b bad idea to try sumthing new??I've been told about these saliva ovulation tests too,u can buy them online and one kit lasts 2 yrs.u just put a drop of saliva on this little pocket size lens and look at the pattern it makes.u can do it any time of day every day and certain patttern means u are ovulating.if I don't get pregnant this month (as period is 10 days late at mo so hoping I'll get a positive)then I'm def buying one of these saliva tests.they only cost 20 pound and u can use it over and over.could be an idea for us if clear blues get too pricey x

I was using cheap ovulation tests for about a month and I never got a positive. I used them every day as I have irregular periods. I conceived that same month. My suggestion would be to try more reliable tests...
