I have used ovulation tests this month for the first time, i got a positive when i tested the day before i ovulated, i tested again the following day but it was negative, does this mean it was a false positive or do you only get on positive day a month?

please help im confused and havent used them before x

I dont think it was a false positive.
Ovulation tests can detect ovulation coming up to 36 hours away so its possible you caugh the surge and ovulated that day.
As logn as you get a BD in the same day as the positive then you should have got the timing right
