That is the hormones released when ovulation takes place whereas HCG is when pregnancy is taking place.

With a previous pregnancy I tested with the clearblue digital and it said "not pregnant". I too pulled the stick out and there was a second line. I had another test in the pack and did it the following day with the same result so the same day I bought an original clear blue and it was positive.

I know some people swear by the digital tests but personally I'm not to sure how good they are. It seems they read from the second line and if it's too faint they give a negative reading. My 2nd line was faint both times but deffinatly there.

So chances are it is just that what the test is detecting, for the line to appear.

I have never used a digital before but the girls on here said to get one.
i might get a normal clear blue if af doesn't show her face.
I have another digital so I will wait till af is due and test with it again

Hiya Cheryl,

I heard that some Clearblue digital's sensitivity is 50, where as others such as FRER and the +/- ones are 25 or less... so I would test again when the is due, but use a FRER.

Ignore the lines inside the digi test, like Suzan said. I have PCOS and everytime I test with the CB Digi I always have to rip it apart to see too (I know I have a problem ) and I always have 2 lines.

I hope it's good news!!! Not long now.
