Any military wives out there?

My hubby is a royal marine and works away from home fairly often. Anyone else in the same situation? Are you finding it hard to get your dates right and make sure you are having quality time as well as baby time?!

We have only just started trying so no worries so far but I know some of the other wives have found it difficult. One girl can pinpoint her conception date exactly as she was on her own for months, saw him for 1 day then was on her own for the next 7 months! Back just in time for arrival!

My hubby s in the RAF but he spends all his time at home he works mainly behind the seens with computers and stuff. I'm quite lucky the oly time he goes away is when hes on courses and thats not very often now.

It must be really hard being away from each other all the time. I couldnt imagine going through 7 months being pregnant without my DH being there through it all.

Good luck TTC!

Thanks! Early days but we are excited and positive!!

Good luck to you too, not long now according to your ticker!

We are fortunate that he's just on short exercises most of the time (no Afghan coming up that we know of) but the weeks quickly add up and its not easy.

My husband is the RAF. He is not away aften (he is a musician), but recently he has been quiet a bit! In August we saw each other one week in total and I managed to get pregnant! (I MC since) but it's funny how doctor think that you can't be sure about dates! I was sure, was easy!
Since MC (a week ago), I TTC and DH is going away on sunday!! Will see if anything work out coz afetr MC, dates are messed up..

My dh isn't in the military, but he is a musician who has been known to go on tour for up to 6.5 weeks at a time, and regularly is out of town on weekends. The last couple months he hasn't been away too much luckily but I think he's gonna start getting busier soon. I'm hoping he's not gone during ov time cuz that would really suck. I feel for you ladies.

me and my hubby are both in the military. i am getting out in 5 days tho so soon i will be a military wife. he goes on the deployment late next year, and will probably start work ups the middle of next year, so the clock's ticking.

we're both in the navy. i'm sure the stress from that is the reason why we haven't been able to conceive. i hope after getting out tht will change.

Yes It's important to stay positive. It was hard to have a MC last week, but all went out naturally and I was pregnant after one month of trying, so I am hoping I will get pregnant soon without MC....

Its hard to relax and enjoy the process when you feel that the clock's ticking - seems like every time counts

Hopefully when you get out you'll be able to enjoy being a 'WAG' and let those happy hormones flow!

Good luck!!!
