TTC after a MC a week ago... too early?

Hi girls,

I had a MC last saturday, I was 8 weeks and 5 days. Was very hard and painfull, but it all went out naturally. I almost not bleeding at all. I feel now ok

And my sexual appetite is coming back now!

Can I have sex now? Or should I wait a bit more?
And when did you girls get pregnant after MC? I have a short cycle anyway and always ovulate earlier than 14 days..
what do u all think?

Sorry for your loss hun but am happy to see you're dealing well with it. I've never been in that situation so I can' give any advice. Good luck!

hey hun sorry for your loss....your normally told to wait one cycle before getting back to ttc but i think that might be more to do with being able to date conception than anything else...ive heard the general rule of thumb is to wait until your emotional and physically able/...good luck hun xx

My doctor told me that I could try from the 1st month, as you say BrookieG because it might be difficult to date it otherwise. But not sure I can wait! I have emotionally and physically recovered!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I went through that and it's important to realise you are not at fault and that it happens to one in three women! The doctors told me to wait a cycle and I did, but I think you should really just listen to your own body and take things at a pace you are comfortable with. If the body's not ready yet, it'll deal with things in it's own mysterious way. I was also assured that in majority of mc cases that most ladies will go on to have healthy and happy pregnancies and hope you go on to have yours real soon.

Well yes I am now definately trying!!! But because I am not sure when I will be ovulating, and my DH will be away in a week time, will try this week coming! Otherwise next month!

i am in the same boat as you, i had a mmc at 8 weeks followed by a d&c, hubby and i were given the green light straight away and are playing the waiting game atm. i got my neg test last week and a positive this week - now we have to wait a week and have a scan done to see if we have caught the eggie or if it is just my levels readjusting.

Hi hun - my docs said the only reason for waiting is for dating purposes. It turned out that I had to wait for at least one cycle as a little tissue was showing on the scan after the mc so I had to wait!

If you are ready to try straight away - I say go for it

I had my scan last monday, and they told me that almost everything had gone! and I would be fine, except for a tiny bit of bleeding. Does anyone know when is ovulation after MC????
