Is this an STD or Is this something Normal.? Please answer.?
Okay so a few months back i took my little sister to the er for a 1 blood filled blister in her mouth it wasnt big or anything and it only was there for like 3 or 4 hours thats it. Then nothing else. Well today she called me to come pick her up so i did. this time on the roof of her mouth it has those squiggly things well on that part right touching her teeth i didnt see anything. so i felt it and it feels like two bumps but they arent touching and they are spaced apart.

she recently had braces and had them remove in febuary but didnt wear her retainer so her teeth are starting to move back like they were.

I was wondering if this could be an STD or something normal?

she had an std check today but wont get the results back and she has been crying all night so i just wanted you guys oppinions.

BTW when we went to the er he said it was either a canker sore or herpes but didnt draw blood to see .. what an idiot!!

It could be herpes, but you would have to test for it. A friend of mine got it and she has various outbreaks that don't last long. Some severe and some just a few blisters.

If she had braces..does she have one of the built in retainers on the bottom (metal bar along the back of the bottom teeth) I do and having the constant metal in my mouth if I certain things causes my mouth to get little sores.

In her mouth? I think that she should be ok, it is probably an infection due to not flossing enough, or it could be something like canker sores. Jus thave her swish with either mouthwash, or slat water. It should clear up soon

no but we keep telling her she needs to go back to the dentist plush she doesnt brush as she should and never floses. It just makes me upset that she is crying because i love her to death and she is so worried. She swished salt water about 20 mins ago but she said it hasnt gone down any.

Ooo Aliciatm you tell your little sis she needs her bum spanked! All that money and time spent on making her teeth beautiful and shes not looking after them! If thats the case and shes lacking oral hygiene, I would tend to put it down to that, but Im no doc. Fingers crossed its as simple as that, and tell her to get to cleaning those teeth missy! Not to mention bad teeth can lead to other major health problems later in life, hmm sorry its the mum in me coming out, my 15yo has just gotten braces too! Tell her not to worry, everything you have mentioned is fixable not matter what it turns out to be.

well im like amommy to. Our mom died when she was little so ive been her only mommy. but i told her since she is boy crazy no boy would kiss her if she had bad breath and didnt brush her teeth and the second i said that she ran into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. haha. well i just hope she doesnt have an std she is only 16. weird thing is i know for a fact she has never had oral. so it couldntbe an std from oral but i know she does have sex. but im no expert i just told her to wait til next week. and call and just calm down. i just hope it isnt an std for her sake. thank you , you guys i knew i could cound on you

Then there isnt anyway it could be a Std if she hasnt...you know. Just have her brush floss and keep swishing with salt water. It should go down in a couple of days, if its from poor oral hygeine it can take a few days.

well she has had sex just not orally. so could it be an std in the mouth from vaginal intercourse. sry im so graphic.

Nope, Im not gonna say impossible because everyone's bodies are different, but highly unlikely. In College we had to take a huge unit on STDs and I didnt hear of one case where that happened.
