Trying to lose weight and ttc

Hey everyone,

we currently ttcing for our 1st baby and have been since Jan 09, but the 1st stumbling block I have is that I am carrying a good few extra pounds. I have now decided that is a problem. So have joined Scottish Slimmers to see if that will help me shift the extra pounds so that when I do get my bfp I dont have to be worried gaining extra weight on top of the extra weight I would already be carrying. does this make any sense

Thanks for reading xx

I just wanted to pop in and wish you all good luck with your TTC journeys.

I lost my extra pounds a couple of years ago - at the time 3 of the other people I was dieting with who had been TTC for years with no luck all fell pregnant after they have lost approx 1/2 of their target amount. Apparently this is not uncommon as weight loss can give your fertility a boost.

Good luck ladies I shall be rooting from the sidelines for you all.

PS Megg33k - 63lb since March wowsers

I am too losing whilst ttc! When I started weight loss in May I found out I was pregnant 6 weeks after! But sadly lost our little one (mmc in July)

I have been back at weight watchers since begining of September and loving it!

I am now nearly a stone lighter than i was in May (the fact that for 3 months of that I was not losing due to pregnancy) I am chuffed to bits!

I need to lose another 3 stone to get to my goal but I am very happy so far!

With me i dont think it was the weight loss that helped me get pregnant but my whole attitude changed - I had something new to focus on. PMA

I wish you all the best with your weight loss journey
