I was talking with a few of my friends today about TTC and this forum etc and you know, one of them said, 'oh i just counted from day 1 and bd'd on day 14 and got caught that month with the twins'.....
Have we lost the plot? Or is my friend in the minority?
Her comment just got to me a little...I just thought of some of you guys who have been TTC for years and maybe waiting for IVF etc...and just thought it was such a throw away comment.
She is a nice person, don't get me wrong.
I don't think she understands the extent of some couple's TTC journeys..thats all.
Needed to get that off my chest!!!!!

Some people are lucky like that, they manage to catch the first month trying and don't understand how any one else could possibly have problems TTC.

i think for every person who has trouble TTC there will be a person who gets lucky and catches the egg on the get go!

I was also talking to my friend yesterday about my TTC and chit chatting and she told me she is very fertile and "i can get pregnant in...40 seconds!" It was a good laugh, but she is right, she's VERY fertile, and has gotten pregnant atleast 4 or 5 times that i know of...all while using protection! There's probably been more pregnancies i don't even know of...sadly she is quite addicted to abortions, but she did keep one child who is her 4 year old son. I do get a bit jealous of her sometimes...I even told her how lucky she was to get pregnant so easily, heh.

They are lucky....but they just don't realize how lucky they really are until they have a TTC difficulty I suppose...
But it sounds like, people (as your friend) Samo, would not really be that upset if they had a difficulty TTC....
But hey, each to their own- if we were all the same it would be terribly boring!!!!

We did that when we started TTC almost two and half year ago, because back then thats what I thought you had to do. Ironically enough we did get a BFP, but M/c at 12 weeks....But we tried it again after the M/c and nothing...for the longest time. So after about 1 and a half years I decided I needed to try something else...And we're still trying..

we pretty much did that the first time we conceived, but it's hard to get pregnant and hard to have a successful pregnancy

Flippant statements as from my friend, just disturb me a little, insensitive!!!! Women know there are other women out their doin IVF etc...there's no need to gloat.

Oh well....not gonna get into a tizz about i tho!!!

I know abortions are a really touchy subject so Im not gong to go too much into it...but I also have a friend who has been pregnant 4 times. She has only kept one....

It kind of bothers me how some people get pregnant so easily...and dont realise how blessed they are. They use abortions as BC (not saying thats necessarily what your friend has done). While others, like some of you on here, have so much trouble having just one bundle of joy!!!

Oh well, we will all get ours one day.

To me the FERTILE people are just lucky to get it on the first try. My sister was like that and me not so much, it took a lot of work to concieve DD and I am hoping it will be ater this time around, no such luck. I think when someone knows you are having a hard time TTCing, they should keep their mouth shut on how EASY it was for them, it just makes you feel like your body is broken.
