1 fallopian tube ok ..other not??

Had my HSG test this afternoon...yep it was painfull! my left tube is open but on right tube ...it didnt "spill out"...mixed reaction realy as dont have hospital app for informal chat till start of december and left wondering?? the nurse said u can still become pregnat with one tube open so how is it that iv been trying for years and still nothin! xx

So sorry hunni, I had two ectopics from the same tube and just had it removed. my dr said that shouldnt be a problem getting pregnant with just my one tube but I still believe it will be a little harder. It could be that you ovulate more on the bad side. You really wont know more until you go back to the dr and decide what options or test to try next.

My right was blocked and infected and I had it removed in April 2008, in September 2008I got my BFP and as you can see I have a gorgeous baby girl

The gynaecologist believed that the infected tube had been causing me to miscarriage.

I only have one tube too after an ectopic and I am quite positive that I will get pregnant. I am now on clomid now to increase the chances of ov from the good side.

Truly dont get down about this at this stage. THose will one tube are also ideal candidates for IVF (worst case) and have excellent success rates.

Def dont get despondent, it will happen! Good luck hun. XX

By the way, I ovulate from my right ovary and I only have my left tube and I still got pregnant. Its not fair they've left you in limbo, can you try and pressure your GP for an appointment? Tell them you're really distressed.

me and hubby are having some blood tests and he is due another seman test..then on 4th december have app when all results are back. very worried time tho. xx

I think thats the way to look at it hun! You have one perfect tube. My other tube is also abnormally long which causes problems, however I dont think there is any benefit to focussing on the negatives.

You have a great chance of pregnancy and from what I have read after and HCG there is a great chance of getting pregnant as it has been "flushed" so very good luck too you. XXXXX
