I think your cholesterol is fine, really...it's not in a dangerous spot. anything above 200 is borderline, and 240+ is HIGH. It's recommended to stay under 200, and even better, under 180 (which you are).
But if you want to watch your cholesterol intake a bit, you can try by cooking w/ olive or canola oil. Also watch and reduce your butter or margarine intake. Cholesterol comes from protein/meats/dairy product. Eat less red meat and remember that egg YOLK carry the most cholesterol. Go for things that are reduced sodium, low fat, reduced fat.
Having cholesterol is healthy, your liver needs and uses it to help your digestive system. Having too much or high cholesterol however causes clots in your arteries which can lead to strokes and heart problems.
I think you're fine though, don't go too crazy
