Cervix position?

I hear you girls talking about the position of your cervix all the time. What does that mean? Does it mean something if it's in a certain spot or something? I was curious so I felt to see if I could find mine. I did it was VERY low. I have never been able to feel it before and this time I barely got in there before I felt it and it hurt a LOT when hubby and I bd'd last night. Well I think it was my cervix? Can you tell me what it feels like? lol

How far along in your cycle are you? If you're early or late in your cycle it could be low. It rises up higher as your reach O time, it also gets softer to the touch. It will sort of feel like the tip of your nose when it's low and firm (round and kind of hard and bouncy) - as you get closer to O time it should begin to rise up higher and get softer to touch. You can also feel if it's open or closed (but this can be done later, it's a little tricky so best to learn the basics first). Around the time you O it may be really hard to reach because it's up very high...Make sure you're sitting comfortable or standing with a leg propped up to check, and always wash your hands first to avoid infection. Best to keep nails trimmed to (learned that the hard way!!!) to avoid nicking the insides

Prior to ovulation - during the first half of your cycle, the cervix will feel relatively firm (like touching your nose) and dry to the touch - and the position of the cervix will be low in your vagina (easy to reach). The entrance of the cervix will feel closed.

However, as you approach ovulation, the cervix will become increasingly soft and will increasingly moisten in order to create a more fertile environment for the sperm. The entrance of the cervix will feel open and begin to lift. At the highest point, the cervix may be a bit difficult to reach and the entrance of the cervix will increase in size. The feel of your cervix will be softer - like touching your lip. At this point, you are at your most fertile time.

Following ovulation, the cervix begins to return to a firmer state and the entrance will begin to close. Also, the position of the cervix will again drop and become easy to reach.

good luck ...i am going to check mind now

After O it will drop, but when your preggo the cervix will rise high, but it's not the best sign because it doesn't happen straight away for most women, you might not feel it high until you've had your BFP for a while...so it's not a good indication to go on honey...
