Me and my OH want this baby when we get preggo. But i dont have any family to really look down on me because of it, but i know and HE knows that his family is gonna flip!

It kinda worries me because i dont wanna deal with there stress. But there gonna go into saying that were to young (hes 20 almost 21, and im 1. We both feel ready finally, so i really dont think they should critasize! What do you girls think might help?

ALso his sister (who just had her 2nd kid is 26) will flip because we dont tell her RIGHT AWAY, but we want to wait till the 3 months is over for the miscarriage period......

You never know, maybe their reaction will be a pleasant one? If you guys are stable and have a place to live, can put food on the table, and take care of yourselves, i don't think there's anything to criticize about! And if they do say something, don't let it get to you, if baby is what you want and you are happy with your decision, that's all that counts! If family is unhappy, that is their loss, but more often than not they will come around the bend and be thrilled for the both of you.

well its jus because last time when we werent trying my OH's dad called my OH's sister and said "Toan (my OH) fiance is pregnant)". Then she called us and was like "OMG , tell me its not true" "OMG OMG" and so on...

well, you weren't trying, so it could have been a shock for her and she was probably wondering about your well being and if you guys are able to get through and manage a pregnancy. But now you guys are trying and are completely aware of what's going to happen, you've got all the bases covered and, hopefully, your family wont be shocked about the news . And if they are...they'll get over it lol. I'm sure they are only thinking of your wellbeing but once they understand you guys got everything on track, i'm sure they will be thrilled either way.

I hope so lol. also his mom is gonna think were gonna make her baby sit all the time lol, (because thats what my OH's sister does). but i already know were not going to lol

Dont worry hun... as long as you guys are in a longterm stable relationship, have your own place, jobs and money to provide all that bubba will need, theyll be happy for you.

agreed, you two can make your own decisions and deal with the consequences good or bad. I always think you might be ready if you can be and feel responsible for another life other than your own.

My DH and I waited awhile before ttc as we wanted to become stable enough and at a point where we wouldn't have to struggle. We have been together almost 8 years (HS sweethearts), got married after 6 years together...and I am glad we took as much time as we did, as things are great and we have been very successful in many ways. So, you know what is best for you, and you can't always worry about what others will think or want from you. I tend to do that too much (especially with family).

I think I kind of know how you feel. My mom and the rest of my family isnt going to be happy when/if I get pregnant...but I know I am ready.As long as YOU know you are ready thats all that matters!
