Doctor's Appointment...

Sorry for the delay in posting but life has been crazy for me. Ok, so I went to the fertility specialist for the consultation and here's the bottom line...

The bad news: My chances are pretty significantly reduced to conceive based on my endometriosis, irregular cycles, and my age (just turned 35). Her exact words were "hit or miss". She doesn't recommend charting for me due to the irregular AF, she said it would just be frustrating.

The good news: She's started me on a full diagnostic testing schedule, starting in either 2 weeks or when i get my next AF (who knows when that will be). It is encouraging that I conceived last September, so we'll get everything checked out to ensure that there isn't anything else standing in my way of a BFP this year. Depending on the test results, she may opt to put me on Clomid.

Soooo I am just waiting for my period. The OH isn't too thrilled that I am off the pill (we were going to wait to try till later in the year), but he has a great attitude otherwise. And well, if we (oops) get our BFP soon, well you won't hear me complaining. Of course, today I feel the twinges of ovulation on my left side, so this month may be out for anything. But at least the prospect of my AF brings with it the start of the testing....

And, I love this forum, I appreciate everyone's support, especially after the MC in October!

Good luck You just never know what will happen. My niece (she had endometriosis as well and one fallopian tube removed) was told she would more than likely never get pregnant again. She fell pregnant with her second child 4 months after having surgery to have the fibroids removed.

Nah, it's pretty hard to offend me - you should hear the stuff my OH jokes about!

Thanks so much. I am hoping that I am the exception to the rule as well
