TTC after cerazette?

I do apologise if there is a thread like this already, im new here and kinda unfamiliar....

Basically my husband and i want to start trying for baby #2 in the new year. however, i am on Cerazette at the moment and i am sick to the back teeth of bleeding on and off for 1-2 months at a time and then getting a 2 week break i really want to give my body a break from the artificial hormones before TTC, and i have read a lot of bad stuff about it taking months for your cycle to return to normal after taking cerazette. I dont want to wait to come off of it until we want to be pregnant like yesterday if its going to take months to regain a normal cycle (which in my case is a textbook 28 day one, im very lucky)

Anyway, im basically posting because i am interested in hearing others' experiences of TTC after taking cerazette. how long did it take? How long until your normal cycle returned? Also, i am still breastfeeding my 19mo and although he is only having 1 feed a day now ( ) i wonder if that could also affect the return of a normal cycle? hmmm.... ill stop rambling now. over to you!

ttc after cerazette

Hey!

I stopped cerazette 4 weeks ago and no af yet, it's a nightmare. There is quite a few of us on here in the same situation but 1 of the girls her user name is 2016 actually just got her on friday after being off cerazette for 5 weeks, she didnt even have af first which has certainly given me hope!! If you look through all the threads there is quite a few people who have caught early. I'm hoping to get my By christmas so fingers crossed!!!

Hope your cerazette journey is short and sweet!!!!

Lolly x

Hi i stopped cerazette in january and still no sign of a bfp. I think my body is now just about back to normal but my cycles are not completely regular. It is up to you but if i knew last year that it was going to take me about 6 month to even be kinda back on track i would have stopped taking it a lot sooner. Everyone is different and obviously some people will fall quickly and some won't so its up to you to either give yourself time off it to begin with or not mind if it takes longer than you had hoped. Good luck. X

hanD, this was my thoughts exactly, at least now i am giving myself time (although i am SOOO broody!) when i came off the combined pill before having DS, my cycle went back to normal immediately and i was pregnant within 2 months, so hopefully this time around will be similar *crosses fingers*
