It seems to me...

that I ovulate quite a bit after a positive OPK. I got my first positive OPK on thursday evening, then another on Friday evening. Saturday's OPK was negative, but only a tiny bit of EWCM. Today is Monday, and my cervic is finally so high I can't even feel it, everything up there is very soft, and I have lots of EWCM. Is this possible? Anyone else like this? That would mean I ovulate about 48-72 hours after my second positive OPK.

I think that L.H. - the hormone detected by the OPK is released prior to ovulation anyway and can often start showing negative on the test as you actually ovulate. I think the OPK's normally say ovulation will occure 24-48 hours after a positive test. If you had a long surge then 72 hours is possible too. Everyone's bodies are different.

I'm still yet to get a positive on an opk not having a good time with them so i'm not relying on them too much sounds like it's possible tho!

hi there capital chick, I found that I was tearing my hair out with opks!! I was the same, I got an LH surge on the monday night and thought, Great, lets get going!! the just to track my cycle etc, I carried on testing througout the month and got another 4 positives in the following two weeks!! I was very confused to say the least!! I didnt feel any ovulation pains at the time and I feeel that they really didnt work for me as they just got me more papanoid and worried. I think I will just rely on my intuition and judging my cycles. They are not for everyone. Good luck!! Candice xx

opk trouble seems to be the forums hot topic today! OPKS are a pain! I would really rely more on cm and previous charting. We all know our bodies better then we think we do Opks have to be done same time each day and not with fmu, and can't drink before blah blah blah...I have said this time and time again, that clear blue fertility monitor really takes all that guessing work/stress away. BUT don't lose hope ever!! Lots of love and

I agree. I tried regular OPKs once and quickly decided it was too confusing. I like the CBFM much better.
