2 Monday morning questions for my fave TTCing gals:

1) Does anyone else find the whole ‘BDing at the right time’ thang kinda difficult, not only from the perspective of finding the time and energy to do it but the way it's obvious to your OH that you're wanting to do it sometimes cos you wanna make a baby, not necessarily cos you’re in the mood? My OH works really difficult shifts and he’s shattered a lot of the time. Most of the time, he's well up for it but sometimes – he’s just too exhausted. And it's SO embarrassing when he's like 'sorry hon, not now'.

2) When CM is at the stringy fertile stage, does this mean you’re ovulating or does it means you’re soon to OV? It’s in that stage right now and am worried BDing this evening would be too late.

Christ, why’s it all so difficult?! x

I find that i want to BD all the time before and after O time, then around O time i seem to be wayyyy to tired!!

YES most definatly to number 1 !!!! I felt a bit mean like we were only having sex to make a baby..and not to enjoy it..and now since finding out we've had sex 3 times! Im just so tired so I do feel a bit mean...but hey ho it's all worth it!

And like your OH I worked daft shifts and was always really tired coming in from work at about 12 but somehow I found the energy a couple of months ago and we kept it up and it worked!

I should have read your post before i added mine i've also asked the same question about mucus as i've noticed it today but like you due to DH's shifts we haven't had chance to BD but will tonight but im not sure when ovualtion will happen. I was going to try the every other night approach but it's hard expecially when you work and DH's work shifts. Good luck thoguh im gonna try every other night this week as i'm guessing i'm ovulating or due to ovulate.

Looks like we're on a similar cycle pattern and situation with the OH’s working silly hours. We can be cycle buddies! My CM is deffo fertile (it’s much more ‘slippery - sorry, tmi - than previous months) so am kicking myself that I didn't FORCE the OH to BD last night (ha ha, poor luv!). If it means I’m OVing right now, apparently it’s best to BD a day or 2 b4 u OV, not on the day itself. By getting fertile CM now, does that meas I am OVing right now or am going to in 24 hours?! Hellllpppp! It's difficult doing goggle searches at work 'cervical mucus, when to have sexual intercourse' without people thinking I'm weird! x

I know i've read somewhere that the last day you notice the EWCM is when ovulation has occured so i'm thinkin as this is day 1 of noticing i should be ok???? I had a banging headache last night so turned DH down wish i'd forced myself too now lol x

Weird, I had an intense headache last night too. Well, I guess the best thing to do is BD tonight - OH already said we will (after he turned me down this morning ... ha ha! Admittedly, it was 5 mins b4 I was due to go to work and my attempt at initiating it was 'oooo, you look cute, I think I'm OVing, fancy a shag'. Not very alluring!!!!! he was like 'urm, babe, maybe tonight?'. Poor things!!!!

haha i've just sent mine a text saying be prepared i think i'm ovulatin - he hasn't bothered replying think he's gettin a bit annoyed at me only initiating sex when i'm ovulatin!

I just managed to find a coupla websites that said that this EWCM can last 1-5 days and basically, we're at our most fertile cos it means we'll be OVing tomorrow or Wedn so get to the BDing gal! Also means (which I know anyway) that our CM is perfect for little spermies to easily travel in our body. So OH has no choice tonight, he better be ready!!!!
