how long does your af last?

i've read a lot of people on here say it only last 3-4 days....why can't i be that lucky! my af is still here at cd8 so after my period i only have like 5 days till ovulation.. i was just wondering if anyone else has long periods like me??

Mine were 9 days long when I was a teenager (god that sucked ass lol) but since I went off bcp last fall they've been about 3 days of light to medium flow with a few days of spotting afterwards. Sorry that yours are so long kates.

thanks! my sisters were long too and she had to get a hystorectomy (sp) so i hope i don't have to!!

I'm CD 5 and just been spotting for 2 days now. But that means I have aaaages til I ovulate - like, 2 weeks!

i saw on your chart you have long periods... sorry kates! last month it was only 4 days but they are getting shorter over the years. normally 5 or 6 days for me, plus spotting for a couple of days on either end, so i'm bleeding somehow for about 8 or 9 days in total! ick!!

AF used to last 8 days for me when I was a teen, both on and off BCP (the one with 3 levels of hormones)

Then I switched to a new BCP and it was 4 days and I LOVED it!!!

now that I am off all BC it is about 7 days..... day 6 and 7 is not much, but I cant go without a pantyliner.
