A healthy, well-rounded balance I think. Try to avoid caffine and alcohol, although the odd one won't hurt. Make sure you are taking pre-natal vitamins, and folic acid.

I read that you should eat foods rich in whole grains (i.e. whole wheat bread, brown rice) and lots of fruits and veggies, and instead of drinking reduced fat milk, switch to full-fat dairy products while TTC b/c it is better for your egg health such servings of full fat yogurt, or an extra slice of full fat cheese. Beans and fish such as salmon or catfish are supposed to be very good for you as well (ladies please let me know if I am missing anything or if any of it needs to be corrected lol I read this article 2 weeks ago!). Also you might want to start taking a prenatal vitamin or folic acid supplement. Good luck hun!

I think jjj is right. One thing I will say though is don't put your life on hold while TTC, you never know how long (or how short of a time) it will take you to conceive.

Good luck!
